The best form of transport for a given journey usually depends on which city or region you're staying in or where you want to go to.

Intercity coaches and domestic flights are by far the most popular choice in Turkey for long distance journeys. Train services are improving and some routes are now very modern.

Local transport is not usually bookable in advance, these services include taxis, public mini-busses [Dolmus], busses [bookable at the coach station only], subway trains and trams.
